An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Aiello in the 13th minute of play forced FCBeresina's goalkeeper Pierre Gervoletti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Floyd Wabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 played minutes, Conthey AC's Marlo Huber shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pierre Gervoletti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Conthey AC reached it. Fabrizio Arnold hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Igor Vetter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FCBeresina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! FCBeresina:s Pierre Gervoletti showed great skill when he stopped Marlo Huber:s penalty. If John Jolicoeur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Jolicoeur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jerely Casutt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Conthey AC's goalkeeper Jerely Casutt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Jolicoeur. After some careless play in the Conthey AC defense, Urban Weingart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerely Casutt. The Conthey AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerely Casutt should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, FCBeresina's goal looked a bit too open when Gioacchino Wagner came free, but Pierre Gervoletti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Fabrizio Arnold managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCBeresina's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrizio Arnold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerely Casutt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes, Miro Hegglin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Conthey AC and the FCBeresina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Conthey AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miro Hegglin to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gioacchino Wagner made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FCBeresina getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Floyd Wabe hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, FCBeresina's goal looked a bit too open when Gioacchino Wagner came free, but Pierre Gervoletti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If John Jolicoeur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Conthey AC's Gioacchino Wagner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierre Gervoletti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. John Jolicoeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Urban Weingart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Jolicoeur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerely Casutt having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Conthey AC's zone, Floyd Wabe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerely Casutt came out of the goal and Floyd Wabe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FCBeresina's John Jolicoeur got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gioacchino Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Conthey AC booed when FCBeresina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Arnold didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Roberto Aiello came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Conthey AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Aiello couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the game, Roberto Aiello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pierre Gervoletti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Jolicoeur in the 96th minute of play forced Conthey AC's goalkeeper Jerely Casutt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FCBeresina were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Conthey AC to leave the ground with a draw.
