The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Unternährer in the 3rd minute of play forced Ferden FC's goalkeeper Giovanni Piller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Jan Rausis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sigriswil's zone, Rodrigo Gerig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Wespi came out of the goal and Rodrigo Gerig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Raimund Urfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimund Urfer kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Carlos Brandenberger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven Wespi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Rodrigo Gerig's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven Wespi firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Rodrigo Gerig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigriswil's Sven Wespi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Brandenberger in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sigriswil's goalkeeper Sven Wespi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ferden FC's Carlos Brandenberger in the 27th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Sven Wespi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sigriswil through an amazing save. Sigriswil's Sven Wespi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Sigriswil from getting a goal against them. Ferden FC's Carlos Brandenberger was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Gerig got free with Sven Wespi in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, Sigriswil's goalkeeper Sven Wespi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Gerig. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Sigriswil's Sven Wespi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Brandenberger in the 53rd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Jan Rausis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sigriswil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferden FC the free kick. A collision led to Sigriswil getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jan Rausis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Brandenberger in the 55th minute of play forced Sigriswil's goalkeeper Sven Wespi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Gerig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Brandenberger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven Wespi having to make a save. Sven Wespi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Gerig, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Gerig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Wespi was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Sigriswil's Sven Wespi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Brandenberger in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sigriswil's goalkeeper Sven Wespi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sven Wespi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Gerig in the 82nd minute of the match. Sigriswil's Sven Wespi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Brandenberger in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Carlos Brandenberger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferden FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ferden FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sigriswil had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
