The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julien Zwinggi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Ambauen, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 4 minutes, Nepomuk Caron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hendschiken and the Roncapiano HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Hendschiken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nepomuk Caron to maneuver through the defense. Roncapiano HC's Julien Zwinggi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Roncapiano HC from getting a goal against them. Pascal Schüpfer's late challenge caught a Roncapiano HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascal Schüpfer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, one of Hendschiken:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hendschiken. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Roncapiano HC. Huber Blum stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Malte Hodel. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Roncapiano HC's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Ambauen came free, but Julien Zwinggi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julien Zwinggi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Ambauen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Sander Greub hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Ambauen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julien Zwinggi having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Roncapiano HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huber Blum to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Dan Ambauen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julien Zwinggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrijan Panetier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Malte Hodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Andrijan Panetier made the kick off in the second half. Jendrick Vicente came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Malte Hodel could save by the left post. If Jendrick Vicente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malte Hodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrijan Panetier in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Roncapiano HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silverio Gautschi to maneuver through the defense. Julien Zwinggi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Ducharme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Nepomuk Caron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Ambauen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Julien Zwinggi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Roncapiano HC's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Ambauen came free, but Julien Zwinggi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
