Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Benignus Simon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fabian Scilacci kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 3 played minutes, Eggiwil's Araldo Bächler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stefan Schällibaum came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eggiwil reached it. Matthias Hellmüller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Dionne in the 5th minute of the match. Julius Schyder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13thth minute of the game Sammy Dionne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eggiwil's Matthias Hellmüller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stefan Schällibaum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benignus Simon, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Alxavier Nef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Eggiwil booed when Young Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julius Schyder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philippe Nobs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Stefan Schällibaum when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Sammy Dionne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthias Hellmüller was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ingolf Schnider took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Stefan Schällibaum to make any attempt to save it. When Patrick Hörler came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Young Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Hörler couldn't finish the play. Matthias Hellmüller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alxavier Nef, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikolai Zwimpfer got free with Stefan Schällibaum in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sammy Dionne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Hellmüller having to interfere. If Alxavier Nef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Alxavier Nef ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthias Hellmüller was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sammy Dionne to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Eggiwil's goalkeeper Matthias Hellmüller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sammy Dionne. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Julius Schyder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Young Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Julius Schyder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias Hellmüller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alxavier Nef came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Young Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alxavier Nef couldn't finish the play. Young Boys's Sammy Dionne got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthias Hellmüller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Dionne in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Eggiwil's Marcello Jolidon got a free kick in the 70th minute. Sammy Dionne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Hellmüller having to interfere. Ron Wy struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Matthias Hellmüller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Young Boys. If Patrick Dresner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80thth minute of the game Sammy Dionne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eggiwil's Matthias Hellmüller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Eggiwil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Young Boys were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
