The referee ignored AS Gnosca's protests and gave Clinton Fritsch a yellow card for diving instead. Clinton Fritsch kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Guido Lüthi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flerden HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Lüthi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremie Camenzind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Lüthi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Ruppen made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Andreas Badurina sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, AS Gnosca's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Masciolo came free, but Jeremie Camenzind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kajetan Christen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ruppen was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Lüthi in the 25th minute of play forced AS Gnosca's goalkeeper Jeremie Camenzind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Flerden HC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Flerden HC's Guido Lüthi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Andreas Badurina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Thommy Trucco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 played minutes, AS Gnosca's Pawel Hennenberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Ruppen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AS Gnosca reached it. Thommy Trucco kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kajetan Christen to strike the kick off in the second half. Pawel Hennenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Paul Masciolo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremie Camenzind. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Masciolo ran back to his position shaking his head. Kajetan Christen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ruppen having to interfere. If Paul Masciolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Lüthi in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremie Camenzind saved AS Gnosca from getting behind. Guido Lüthi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremie Camenzind having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Kajetan Christen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Lüthi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jeremie Camenzind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match, Paul Masciolo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jeremie Camenzind was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Andreas Badurina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gabriel Ruppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kajetan Christen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ruppen having to interfere. Gabriel Ruppen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Christen, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Flerden HC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
