FC Horw's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleasar Végiard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rachid Caron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, FC Luna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Kronenberg to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, FC Horw's Joseph Conte tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Luna's Giulio Schällibaum got control of the ball when Rachid Caron tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eleasar Végiard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giulio Schällibaum was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Rachid Caron showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Magnus Perathoner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Timon Bettinelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Rodrique Jenny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Horw and the FC Luna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Luna booed when FC Horw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrique Jenny didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, FC Horw's goalkeeper Timon Bettinelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reiner Blum.
