The supporters of Grasshopper Club Zürich booed when Gibswil SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Besse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quintinus Kaestner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylan Zuber in the 23rd minute of the match. Sven Baumann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luca Wurfel having to interfere. If Rodolphe Donsante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Rodolphe Donsante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quintinus Kaestner. Gibswil SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolphe Donsante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With his leg Quintinus Kaestner managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Grasshopper Club Zürich's Rodolphe Donsante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Grasshopper Club Zürich getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Josef Tétrault hit a great ball. Josef Tétrault kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Etienne Graf shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luca Wurfel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dylan Zuber struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Quintinus Kaestner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grasshopper Club Zürich. After a rather tough play, Grasshopper Club Zürich's Sebastian Amsler got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Gibswil SC's Etienne Graf broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 48th minute Dylan Zuber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintinus Kaestner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Serge Feurer took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Luca Wurfel to make any attempt to save it. Luca Wurfel made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Sven Baumann sent off a good shot on target. Rodolphe Donsante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Gibswil SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Croteau came free, but Quintinus Kaestner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quintinus Kaestner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dylan Zuber went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Sven Baumann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ben Croteau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Quintinus Kaestner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolphe Donsante took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quintinus Kaestner. Quintinus Kaestner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Rodolphe Donsante struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Quintinus Kaestner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grasshopper Club Zürich. Luca Wurfel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobby Ziörjen in the 89th minute of play. If Rodolphe Donsante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Wurfel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobby Ziörjen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grasshopper Club Zürich's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
