Ischy Tanguay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Reich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyrill Trommler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herve Eichelberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Herve Eichelberger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cyrill Trommler. The goal made the score 1-0. Ischy Tanguay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Reich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Schmidt hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Alexandros Reich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cyrill Trommler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herve Eichelberger in the 27th minute of play. Bedretto HC's Herve Eichelberger got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bedretto HC's Ischy Tanguay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Geisseler in the 34th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Dean Geisseler made a precise shot to the right of Ischy Tanguay. Bedretto HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandros Reich in the 45th minute of play forced Bedretto HC's goalkeeper Ischy Tanguay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herve Eichelberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrill Trommler having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herve Eichelberger made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Herve Eichelberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandros Reich in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ischy Tanguay saved Bedretto HC from getting behind. When Jochen Lessard fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bedretto HC's protests and gave Jochen Lessard a yellow card for diving instead. Jochen Lessard hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Guido Apicella hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Orell Sibenthal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean Geisseler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ischy Tanguay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orell Sibenthal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyrill Trommler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Herve Eichelberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Dean Geisseler came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Maloggia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Geisseler couldn't finish the play. Dean Geisseler was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Bedretto HC's zone, Dean Geisseler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ischy Tanguay came out of the goal and Dean Geisseler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cyrill Trommler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orell Sibenthal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Bedretto HC's Herve Eichelberger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cyrill Trommler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cyrill Trommler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herve Eichelberger in the 88th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maloggia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bedretto HC.
