Tony Brugger scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jürgen Ritieni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 21 minutes, Bertrand Rochat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maloggia and the FC Länk dänk players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Maloggia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bertrand Rochat hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes, FC Länk dänk's Fabricius Fuchs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cyrill Trommler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Länk dänk reached it. If Noel Lenzin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, one of Maloggia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maloggia. The referee gave FC Länk dänk a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Noel Lenzin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maloggia's Cyrill Trommler. 2-1. Cyrill Trommler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Lenzin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Joerg Lisibach kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Federico Duerr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The ball had pretty good speed, but Cyrill Trommler firmly grabbed it by the left post. Federico Duerr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cyrill Trommler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Noel Lenzin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Länk dänk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Lenzin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute of the match Joerg Lisibach shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jürgen Ritieni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Noel Lenzin came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the FC Länk dänk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Lenzin couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Länk dänk booed when Maloggia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joerg Lisibach didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Duerr got free with Cyrill Trommler in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the game, Scipio Borgi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Länk dänk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maloggia the free kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, Maloggia could leave the field as winners, despite FC Länk dänk having more of the ball for most of the match.
