The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Espirito in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niklaus Lapierre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Thomas Goetschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute, Benken's Thomas Eggers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Thomas Eggers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Zeffiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fletcher Bereuter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Goetschi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Huttwil's zone, Moritz Zuccarino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fletcher Bereuter came out of the goal and Moritz Zuccarino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Espirito to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Huttwil's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Zeffiro came free, but Fletcher Bereuter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Eggers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fletcher Bereuter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Eggers in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huttwil's goalkeeper Fletcher Bereuter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Julio Zeffiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benken's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Zeffiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fletcher Bereuter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomas Eggers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Aldo Cippola hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Zeffiro in the 91st minute of play forced Huttwil's goalkeeper Fletcher Bereuter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nathan Ebersbacher's late challenge caught a Huttwil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nathan Ebersbacher helped the player get up and apologised. Nathan Ebersbacher kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Igor Espirito made a precise shot to the right of Niklaus Lapierre. Benken's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
