Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lamberto Riedweg took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Robby Schaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Reams's Gualtier Stuber got control of the ball when Robby Schaer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lamberto Riedweg kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedetto Bühlmann in the 17th minute of the match. With 18 minutes on the clock, Walter Mueller commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Reams's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudio Amsel in the 21st minute. Reams's Claudio Amsel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cláudio Taffarel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lamberto Riedweg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Gualtier Stuber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Berne Wanderers FC's Lamberto Riedweg in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Reams's goalie prevented a goal. 27 minutes in the game, Andy Held fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gualtier Stuber having to interfere. Berne Wanderers FC's Kristian Reuteler suffered a sore thigh after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Elias Randolph charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Randolph the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Reams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Randolph to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Lamberto Riedweg put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gualtier Stuber. In the 42nd match minute, Berne Wanderers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lamberto Riedweg to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigue Wechsler to make the kick off. Gualtier Stuber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lamberto Riedweg went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute, Andy Held got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 minutes, Gautier Freuler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berne Wanderers FC and the Reams players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Berne Wanderers FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gautier Freuler hit a great ball. When Benedetto Bühlmann came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Reams fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedetto Bühlmann couldn't finish the play. Gualtier Stuber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Held in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Lamberto Riedweg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Reams's Jim Bruder got a free kick in the 81st minute. Benedetto Bühlmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Brendan Meier managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Berne Wanderers FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Reams had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
