Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Digg's Finan Heinzer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Finan Heinzer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Digg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Finan Heinzer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Meierskappel AC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mario Schwyzer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finan Heinzer in the 16th minute of play forced Meierskappel AC's goalkeeper Dan Wagner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Wagner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finan Heinzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Finan Heinzer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Wagner having to make a save. The supporters of Digg booed when Meierskappel AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Gisler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Finan Heinzer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Mario Schwyzer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meierskappel AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Digg the free kick. Mario Schwyzer hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Meierskappel AC's Ingo Gisler got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes, Digg's Falko Berg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dan Wagner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Digg reached it. Ryan Trüller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dan Wagner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Meierskappel AC got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Gisler. In the 50th minute of the match Digg got a corner. Meierskappel AC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Falko Berg ran over to the corner to take the kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eike Balmer to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Ingo Gisler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meierskappel AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Digg the free kick. In the 59th minute, Ingo Gisler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes Digg got a freekick which was hit by Falko Berg. After 67 played minutes, Meierskappel AC's Julius Picca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luke Marois came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Meierskappel AC reached it. Digg were furious when Falko Berg was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 77th minute, Endrik Traugott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luke Marois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eike Balmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After taking down the ball on Meierskappel AC's corner Julius Picca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luke Marois quite easily take care of the ball. Meierskappel AC's Roberto Achen got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Jacquin Cicchetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Digg's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Achen came free, but Luke Marois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Digg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
