Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Kurt Albbrecht successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Maloja HC's Patrick Kappel in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Thun 1898's goalie prevented a goal. FC Thun 1898's Farid Finger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Baader in the 7th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Basilius Saluz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Farid Finger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jose Baader's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Henri Stinde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Albbrecht read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, FC Thun 1898 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Lehmann to maneuver through the defense. LucaLucan Waldburger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Albbrecht having to interfere. After 40 played minutes FC Thun 1898 got a freekick which was hit by LucaLucan Waldburger. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Kappel in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Thun 1898's goalkeeper Farid Finger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basilius Saluz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kurt Albbrecht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilius Saluz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Henri Stinde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Maloja HC got a freekick which was hit by Rey Pierucci. 62 minutes into the match, Ivan Lehmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kurt Albbrecht. Maloja HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Lehmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maloja HC's goalkeeper Kurt Albbrecht, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Ivan Lehmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Thun 1898 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Kurt Albbrecht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Stinde in the 92nd minute of the match. Gilberto Ceccarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the FC Thun 1898 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
