The referee ignored Langenbruck's protests and gave Irvin Sauber a yellow card for diving instead. Irvin Sauber kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Denis Schott who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Langenbruck's Karim Kost was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th minute, Irvin Sauber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Langenbruck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tomas Müller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Vehma in the 12th minute of play. The FC Sarajevo SG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Müller should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Denis Schott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karim Kost was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Karim Kost as he didn't even see the shot coming.
