Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ayer's Ueli Dali started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ayer's goal looked a bit too open when Patrizio Huber came free, but Nicolas Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Lugano's Kai Kamarche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas Waller made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Enrique Zuccarino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Waller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kai Kamarche in the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Kai Kamarche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Kamarche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Zuccarino got free with Lucius Berger in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Guimarães in the 16th minute of play forced Ayer's goalkeeper Nicolas Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Falco Klein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Lugano were awarded a corner. Paddy Aceto went to the cornerflag to take it. Lugano's Paddy Aceto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicolas Waller in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lugano's Lucius Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ueli Dali in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrizio Huber in the 23rd minute of play forced Ayer's goalkeeper Nicolas Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Lugano's Kai Kamarche made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Waller was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Collin Fink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Bruno Guimarães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Waller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Kamarche in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Bruno Guimarães notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Ayer's Nicolas Waller. Nicolas Waller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patrizio Huber hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Enrique Zuccarino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas Waller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falco Klein, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Romeo Lowe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Lucius Berger made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Ayer's goal looked a bit too open when Falco Klein came free, but Nicolas Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kai Kamarche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Lugano's Nicolas Waller threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Falco Klein, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicolas Waller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Kamarche, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Kai Kamarche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Waller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Kamarche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, Ayer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ueli Dali to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Nicolas Waller made a huge save. Nicolas Waller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Kamarche in the 63rd minute of play. Falco Klein's late challenge caught a Ayer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falco Klein helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falco Klein to maneuver through the defense. When Enrique Zuccarino fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayer's protests and gave Enrique Zuccarino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lugano booed when Ayer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Zuccarino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theodor Castelletti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Nicolas Waller made a huge save. Nicolas Waller was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Kai Kamarche capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kai Kamarche really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. 75 minutes into the match, Ayer's goalkeeper Nicolas Waller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrizio Huber. After 76 minutes, Patrizio Huber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lugano and the Ayer players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrizio Huber to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Waller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falco Klein, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Kai Kamarche dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicolas Waller, 0-5.
