Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ignace Vounckx got the match started through his kick off. After 6 played minutes Wijtschate got a freekick which was hit by Rob Berckmans. Mark De Roest took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franky van der Eycken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Schelderode getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Franky van der Eycken hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wart Cerneels got free with Vicente Van Aertvinck in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Schelderode's goalkeeper Vicente Van Aertvinck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ewout Elssen. Andrew Kloots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vicente Van Aertvinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ewout Elssen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Renaut Stoorms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark De Roest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wijtschate's Rob Berckmans got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Renaut Stoorms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark De Roest having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Kloots in the 38th minute of play forced Wijtschate's goalkeeper Mark De Roest to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renaut Stoorms's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark De Roest read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Wijtschate's Mark De Roest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Shamp in the 40th minute of play. Andrew Kloots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mark De Roest tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark De Roest showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renaut Stoorms, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Wijtschate's goal looked a bit too open when Renaut Stoorms came free, but Mark De Roest reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renaut Stoorms made a kick off. Schelderode's Andrew Kloots got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Andrew Kloots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaut Stoorms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark De Roest having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Wijtschate's Ignace Vounckx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Van Aertvinck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 62 minutes into the match, Schelderode's goal looked a bit too open when Ewout Elssen came free, but Vicente Van Aertvinck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Schelderode getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Franck Van Der Heijden hit a great ball. Andrew Kloots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Renaut Stoorms put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mark De Roest. If Andrew Kloots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Van Aertvinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignace Vounckx in the 79th minute of the match. Schelderode's Vicente Van Aertvinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewout Elssen in the 80th minute of play. After 82 minutes, Rob Berckmans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wijtschate and the Schelderode players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rob Berckmans hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Wijtschate's zone, Andrew Kloots stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark De Roest came out of the goal and Andrew Kloots tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Wijtschate's goalkeeper Mark De Roest had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrew Kloots. After a rather tough play, Wijtschate's Matthy Van Den Broeck got a free kick in the 87th minute. Renaut Stoorms was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 91st minute of the match, Renaut Stoorms tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mark De Roest saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mark De Roest made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Renaut Stoorms sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Schelderode players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
