Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Matthy Moons got the match started through his kick off. The KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's Sebbe Horemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sebbe Horemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the purperboys defense, Sebbe Horemans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brent Van Achtens. The purperboys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brent Van Achtens should have stopped the shot. In the 14thth minute of the game Sebbe Horemans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but purperboys's Brent Van Achtens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jannis Struyf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, purperboys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Iwens to maneuver through the defense. When Christian Owerckx fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's protests and gave Christian Owerckx a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Christian Owerckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Malm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brent Van Achtens having to interfere. Brent Van Achtens came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's Ivan Malm. But to his dismay, Ivan Malm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jannis Struyf hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alonzo Higuera hit a great ball. Sebbe Horemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebbe Horemans was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke booed when purperboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannis Struyf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brent Van Achtens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Malm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bastian Skjerning struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Brent Van Achtens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ivan Malm managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Malm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brent Van Achtens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebbe Horemanss short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Brent Van Achtens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brent Van Achtens was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Sebbe Horemans capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sebbe Horemans really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Brent Van Achtens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebbe Horemans in the 70th minute of the match. Sebbe Horemans kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Sebbe Horemans recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brent Van Achtens. Sebbe Horemans showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebbe Horemans got free with Brent Van Achtens in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, purperboys's goal looked a bit too open when Sebbe Horemans came free, but Brent Van Achtens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. purperboys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Bastian Skjerning scored to the left of an out of position Brent Van Achtens, making the score, 0-6. Brent Van Achtens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebbe Horemans in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Sebbe Horemans dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brent Van Achtens, 0-7. The purperboys supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke's performance. The match ended with a win for KFC Excelsior Balgerhoeke.
