Brent Van Achtens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michiel De Vorster showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthy Moons made a kick off. Brent Van Achtens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michiel De Vorster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jannis Struyf charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Michiel De Vorster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brent Van Achtens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Michiel De Vorster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brent Van Achtens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to purperboys getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Matthy Moons hit a great ball. Matthieu Verhengen charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthieu Verhengen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Thildonk got a freekick which was hit by Matthieu Verhengen. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Thildonk. Willem-Jan Goebelens stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brent Van Achtens. 3-0. Brent Van Achtens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michiel De Vorster went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the match, purperboys's goal looked a bit too open when Michiel De Vorster came free, but Brent Van Achtens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Michiel De Vorster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brent Van Achtens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michiel De Vorster in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brent Van Achtens saved purperboys from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, purperboys's goal looked a bit too open when Michiel De Vorster came free, but Brent Van Achtens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brent Van Achtens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthieu Verhengen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michiel De Vorster in the 93rd minute of play forced purperboys's goalkeeper Brent Van Achtens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michiel De Vorster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Brent Van Achtens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brent Van Achtens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Verhengen, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. After some careless play in the purperboys defense, Michiel De Vorster kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brent Van Achtens. The purperboys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brent Van Achtens should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Thildonk players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
