Charles La Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Jorre Carels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Dieter Buyck managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc bonjovi's supporters rose to their feet, but Dieter Buyck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorre Carels breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dieter Buyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dieter Buyck was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. fc bonjovi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hendrik-Jan Thys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Rousseau, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Dieter Buyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andries Rousseau in the 24th minute of play forced fc bonjovi's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Thys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dieter Buyck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Charles La Rose came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the fc bonjovi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles La Rose couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Tervenen's goal looked a bit too open when Dieter Buyck came free, but Jorre Carels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dieter Buyck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorre Carels having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Dante Soens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tervenen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Soens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joost Roscams hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Dieter Buyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Charles La Rose managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc bonjovi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles La Rose was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieter Buyck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Daniel Matthieu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. fc bonjovi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tervenen the free kick. Daniel Matthieu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Fredrik Van Clijnebreugel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik-Jan Thys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorre Carels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieter Buyck in the 60th minute of the match. After 62 played minutes fc bonjovi got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Matthieu. After 63 played minutes, Tervenen's Fernand Enskens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Thys came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tervenen reached it. Andries Rousseau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Emiel Ceusters fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fc bonjovi's protests and gave Emiel Ceusters a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to fc bonjovi getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Emiel Ceusters hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, Tervenen's Andries Rousseau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hendrik-Jan Thys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Charles La Rose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the match, Dieter Buyck notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tervenen's Jorre Carels. Jorre Carels was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Andries Rousseau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Charles La Rose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorre Carels was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the fc bonjovi players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
