Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Henrik Koenens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Club Meux's Rik Bollaert got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 played minutes Jacq Van Linthaudt rounded Club Meux's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Koenens in the 16th minute of play forced Thuin's goalkeeper Brend Coenen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Club Meux got a freekick which was hit by Joeri Koppen. Thuin's Reinaud Meeuwissen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nic Theys but with some difficulty. Nic Theys was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilian Wils showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrik Koenens in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brend Coenen saved Thuin from getting behind. Nic Theys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacq Van Linthaudt in the 34th minute of the match. Armand Reiniers kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Brend Coenen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Koenens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Meux's Rafael Standaers quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Giovanny Van Engelen, made in the 42nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Thuin's zone, Henrik Koenens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brend Coenen came out of the goal and Henrik Koenens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Rafael Standaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Brend Coenen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Meux's Nic Theys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacq Van Linthaudt in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper Versluys in the 59th minute of play forced Club Meux's goalkeeper Nic Theys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Meux's Nic Theys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Versluys in the 61st minute of play. If Rafael Standaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Club Meux got a freekick which was hit by Armand Reiniers. When Jasper Versluys came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Thuin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jasper Versluys couldn't finish the play. Kenneth Degraef kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nic Theys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper Versluys in the 78th minute of play. Franck Smidts hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Club Meux's goal looked a bit too open when Jacq Van Linthaudt came free, but Nic Theys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Thuin support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
