Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) KFC Knesselare's Sven Lijsens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the KFC Knesselare defense, Raf Huijsmans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joerie Van Parijs. The KFC Knesselare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joerie Van Parijs should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, KV Ramillies's goal looked a bit too open when Ludo Van Hamme came free, but Lieven Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the KV Ramillies defense, Ludo Van Hamme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lieven Verdun. The KV Ramillies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lieven Verdun should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute of the match, Leon Keuppens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joerie Van Parijs saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 15th match minute, KV Ramillies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thommy Justus to maneuver through the defense. KFC Knesselare were furious when Remco Stessel was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 21st minute, one of KFC Knesselare:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Knesselare. After 28 minutes, Douglas Cuejvers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Knesselare and the KV Ramillies players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to KFC Knesselare getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Douglas Cuejvers hit a great ball. Theo Susters, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. KFC Knesselare's Joerie Van Parijs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save KFC Knesselare from getting a goal against them. If Leon Keuppens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of KV Ramillies booed when KFC Knesselare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthis Van Den Hout didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raf Huijsmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Knesselare's goalkeeper Joerie Van Parijs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raf Huijsmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joerie Van Parijs having to interfere.

Raf Huijsmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raf Huijsmans in the 57th minute of play forced KFC Knesselare's goalkeeper Joerie Van Parijs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Raf Huijsmans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Joerie Van Parijs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Cuejvers kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Leon Keuppens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, KFC Knesselare's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Keuppens came free, but Joerie Van Parijs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, KFC Knesselare's goal looked a bit too open when Raf Huijsmans came free, but Joerie Van Parijs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joerie Van Parijs came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by KV Ramillies's Raf Huijsmans. But to his dismay, Raf Huijsmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. After 96 minutes, Ludo Van Hamme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Knesselare and the KV Ramillies players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ludo Van Hamme hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KV Ramillies fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Knesselare had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
