Alain Sempels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diederik Van Beetz having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Sclessin's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Sempels came free, but Diederik Van Beetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Alain Sempels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KAA Tieheide's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sclessin the free kick. Gust Van Aarschot kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Sclessin got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Gyselincx. Lauren Van Gorp charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lauren Van Gorp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sclessin booed when KAA Tieheide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauren Van Gorp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Peter-Jan De Bisschop made a precise shot to the right of Diederik Van Beetz. Sclessin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. KAA Tieheide's Lauren Rauvoets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save KAA Tieheide from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Miguel De Raedemaeker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sclessin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAA Tieheide the free kick. Miguel De Raedemaeker kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Peter-Jan De Bisschop managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Tieheide's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter-Jan De Bisschop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diederik Van Beetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gust Van Aarschot charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gust Van Aarschot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Gust Van Aarschot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Gyselincx's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Lauren Rauvoets - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 28th minute. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sclessin's goalkeeper Diederik Van Beetz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 59 minutes, Gaetan Symons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KAA Tieheide and the Sclessin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaetan Symons kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. KAA Tieheide's Lauren Rauvoets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Dewitte in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Sclessin getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Miguel De Raedemaeker hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sclessin's Diederik Van Beetz got control of the ball when Peter-Jan De Bisschop tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alain Sempels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anthonio Peers hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Peter-Jan De Bisschop struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Diederik Van Beetz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Tieheide. If Alain Sempels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, Sclessin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Van Casteren to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter-Jan De Bisschop got free with Diederik Van Beetz in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sclessin fans cheered their team off the field, for while KAA Tieheide had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
