Yannik Paelemans kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Oeleinde's Jeoffrey Van Eynde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Andriesens in the 5th minute of play. Aaron Francx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yannik Paelemans in the 9th minute. Augustijn De Meyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Aaron Francx successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Opheers's Gust de Nooter got a free kick in the 20th minute. Augustijn De Meyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sylven De Reijck during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Oeleinde booed when Opheers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylven De Reijck didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Danny Dockx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Opheers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Deflandre to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes in the game, Yannik Paelemans fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aaron Francx having to interfere. In the 34th minute Augustijn De Meyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Francx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeoffrey Van Eynde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frits Andriesens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Opheers's zone, Augustijn De Meyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Francx came out of the goal and Augustijn De Meyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yannik Paelemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Yannik Paelemans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oeleinde's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannik Paelemans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Francx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aaron Francx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustijn De Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 minutes, Gert Deflandre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Opheers and the Oeleinde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gert Deflandre kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frits Andriesens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Oeleinde getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Remy Rix hit a great ball. Gust de Nooter kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Yannik Paelemans scored 1-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Francx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oeleinde's Augustijn De Meyer got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaron Francx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yannik Paelemans in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustijn De Meyer in the 80th minute of play forced Opheers's goalkeeper Aaron Francx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yannik Paelemans might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Francx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yannik Paelemans ran back to his position shaking his head. Augustijn De Meyer struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Aaron Francx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oeleinde. In the 90th minute Yannik Paelemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Francx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frits Andriesens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Oeleinde players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
