Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mehmet Ferit İltemur started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Manu Van Craesbeeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Emanuel Steurms kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lennart Herinckx. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Lennart Herinckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natan Meijers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Ferit İltemur in the 23rd minute of play forced KV Knutsegem's goalkeeper Andries Van De Wijngaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, KFC Gijzegem's Manu Van Craesbeeck got a free kick in the 25th minute. Lennart Herinckx acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Guido Vincx. In the 36th minute, Jean Tobbackers made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Herinckx. KFC Gijzegem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Andries Van De Wijngaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Ferit İltemur in the 39th minute of play. KFC Gijzegem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Steven Vandenberge in the 41st minute. Mehmet Ferit İltemur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Lennart Herinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Philippaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Andries Van De Wijngaert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steven Vandenberge in the 71st minute. Manu Van Craesbeeck got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 80th minute, Jannis De Pauw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Natan Meijers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Herinckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes KFC Gijzegem got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Van Steen. 87 minutes into the match, Natan Meijers notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of KFC Gijzegem's Lennart Herinckx. Lennart Herinckx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, KFC Gijzegem's Yelle Correyns got a free kick in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KV Knutsegem had played much better football throughout.
