Artuur Schoenmaekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Artuur Schoenmaekers managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Sparta Kolmont's Egil Helander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Egil Helander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artuur Schoenmaekers having to interfere. Alfred Ghesels was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Egil Helander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Egil Helander took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Artuur Schoenmaekers to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egil Helander made a kick off. If Egil Helander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Pierrot Neirynck suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 60 minutes into the game, Renaut Imbrechts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIRKIEBOYS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparta Kolmont the free kick. In the 61st minute, Renaut Imbrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Ghesels in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artuur Schoenmaekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Egil Helander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sparta Kolmont fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Sparta Kolmont's Egil Helander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 80 minutes into the match, DIRKIEBOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Helander came free, but Artuur Schoenmaekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didier Godet hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Egil Helander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artuur Schoenmaekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Egil Helander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Artuur Schoenmaekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artuur Schoenmaekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Egil Helander went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After recieving a nice pass, Sparta Kolmont's Stefaan de Vleeschouwer tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sparta Kolmont had played much better football throughout.
