Club Djeep's Manuel Elens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Pires in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Club Djeep's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Pires came free, but Manuel Elens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boom's Kobe Devaux got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 minutes of play, Club Djeep's Constantijn Horemans made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kamiel De Muysere was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Constantijn Horemans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Club Djeep was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunther Hemelaer to maneuver through the defense. Gwenn Depauw kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Pires in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Elens saved Club Djeep from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Joris Daneels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Elens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kobe Devaux in the 42nd minute of the match. With his leg Manuel Elens managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Boom's Naldo Pires fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Gunther Hemelaer fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
