Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Levi Gelens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Gilles Serneels made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frans Beets in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute Thijs De Langhe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilles Serneels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10thth minute of the game Matty Petermans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Kachtem's Felix Schockaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KV Kachtem's zone, Serge Maenhout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Schockaert came out of the goal and Serge Maenhout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Brandheide's Gilles Serneels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thijs De Langhe in the 22nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Frans Beets sped through FC Brandheide's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilles Serneels. Levi Gelens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Felix Schockaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harold Correyns's late challenge caught a FC Brandheide's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harold Correyns helped the player get up and apologised. Harold Correyns hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Brandheide getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Daniel Switten hit a great ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Brandheide's goalkeeper Gilles Serneels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Brandheide's Levi Gelens got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, KV Kachtem's goal looked a bit too open when Levi Gelens came free, but Felix Schockaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serge Maenhout in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Schockaert saved KV Kachtem from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thijs De Langhe to make the kick off. Levi Gelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frans Beets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gilles Serneels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Matthy Huyberechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Levi Gelens struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Felix Schockaert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Brandheide. Serge Maenhout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Felix Schockaert made a huge save. Serge Maenhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Kachtem's goalkeeper Felix Schockaert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frans Beets took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilles Serneels. Gilles Serneels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Felix Schockaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levi Gelens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serge Maenhout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Felix Schockaert made a huge save. KV Kachtem were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Brandheide for a fine match.
