Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dylan De Roest started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 6 minutes, Arnauld Van Boxstael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Vorst and the Gelrode players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnold De Messemaekere's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janes Terwenhout read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Janes Terwenhout came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Gelrode's Will Van Huele. But to his dismay, Will Van Huele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Dylan De Roest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Gelrode's Will Van Huele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janes Terwenhout made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 23 minutes of play, Gelrode's Will Van Huele made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Janes Terwenhout was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jo Ingelborgh's late challenge caught a AFC Vorst's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jo Ingelborgh helped the player get up and apologised. Dimitri Gysens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jammy Grauwen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 28 minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Danny Vercalsteren made a precise shot to the right of Janes Terwenhout. AFC Vorst's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Janes Terwenhout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert-Jan Kerkhofs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evert-Jan Kerkhofs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Janes Terwenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Gelrode's Will Van Huele got a free kick in the 51st minute. Florian Kempenaers hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Evert-Jan Kerkhofs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Janes Terwenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Kempenaers's late challenge caught a Gelrode's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Kempenaers helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes AFC Vorst got a freekick which was hit by Florian Kempenaers. Gelrode's Danny Vercalsteren got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Janes Terwenhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold De Messemaekere in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, AFC Vorst's goal looked a bit too open when Evert-Jan Kerkhofs came free, but Janes Terwenhout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Vorst's zone, Arnold De Messemaekere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janes Terwenhout came out of the goal and Arnold De Messemaekere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evert-Jan Kerkhofs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Janes Terwenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dylan De Roest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitri Gysens having to interfere. When Evert-Jan Kerkhofs came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Gelrode fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evert-Jan Kerkhofs couldn't finish the play. Arnold De Messemaekere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Janes Terwenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Will Van Huele kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Gelrode's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
