KAA Latem's Jasper Sutens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Uytdebroeck in the 9th minute of play. Johan Pelgrims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jasper Sutens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederik Weba hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Thibaud Denijs kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, KAA Latem's Etienne Laporte broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Geoffry Van de Wal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilian Huijbrechts's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Gilian Huijbrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoffry Van de Wal having to interfere. Johan Pelgrims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jasper Sutens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KSV Altembroek's Jarno Kerkhove got a free kick in the 35th minute. KSV Altembroek's Geoffry Van de Wal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save KSV Altembroek from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Gilian Huijbrechts made the kick off in the second half. Geoffry Van de Wal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diedrik De Haes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KSV Altembroek's Frederik Weba got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Frederik Weba charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frederik Weba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Gilian Huijbrechts fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAA Latem's protests and gave Gilian Huijbrechts a yellow card for diving instead. Klaus De Witte's late challenge caught a KSV Altembroek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaus De Witte helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, KAA Latem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus De Witte to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes, Joost Dirickx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KSV Altembroek and the KAA Latem players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes KSV Altembroek got a freekick which was hit by Joost Dirickx. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Diedrik De Haes put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Geoffry Van de Wal. Diedrik De Haes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as KSV Altembroek's Johan Pelgrims slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jasper Sutens. That made the score 1-3 after 96 minutes of play. KSV Altembroek's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
