Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SK Ransberg's Pino Denys started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Herve Van der Hoeven fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zonnegem 's protests and gave Herve Van der Hoeven a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SK Ransberg booed when Zonnegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herve Van der Hoeven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Rummens was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ief Servranckx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emiel Hensmans struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Oswald Milters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Ransberg. Ief Servranckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Isidoor Berghmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Van Landewijck kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Mats Wortelers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ief Servranckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Isidoor Berghmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswald Milters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pino Denys in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zonnegem 's goalkeeper Oswald Milters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ief Servranckx was the one to do the kick off. Zonnegem 's Oswald Milters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiel Hensmans in the 56th minute of play. When SK Ransberg's Pino Denys in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zonnegem 's goalie prevented a goal. Zonnegem 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Tommi Verlinden hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Tim Gheysen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ief Servranckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoor Berghmans having to interfere. SK Ransberg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zonnegem for a fine match.
