Franse Kunstenaars's Dan De Bougne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Franse Kunstenaars from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Franse Kunstenaars's goal looked a bit too open when Jordi Tijs came free, but Dan De Bougne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordi Tijs in the 18th minute of play forced Franse Kunstenaars's goalkeeper Dan De Bougne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jan-Simon Vrijdags had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christof Van Den Driessche fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franse Kunstenaars's protests and gave Christof Van Den Driessche a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Christof Van Den Driessche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes KFC Terheidehoek got a freekick which was hit by George Deman. Jan-Simon Vrijdags received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Vic Van Brusselen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan De Bougne was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jordi Tijs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Vic Van Brusselen came out of the goal and Jan-Simon Vrijdags tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KFC Terheidehoek getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Cederique De Meijer hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, KFC Terheidehoek's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Dewolf came free, but Vic Van Brusselen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jan-Simon Vrijdags had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Steven Vranckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KFC Terheidehoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Jordi Tijs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan De Bougne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabien Verbraecken during the 95th minute.
