The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mike Van Bael during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Langemark:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gijzelbrechtegem:s goal. Sebastian De Raedemaeker had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Marc Van der Vorst's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Loui Vanden Driessche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Gijzelbrechtegem's Loui Vanden Driessche ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sebastian De Raedemaeker. Sebastian De Raedemaeker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 28thth minute of the game Loui Vanden Driessche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Langemark's Sebastian De Raedemaeker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Hubert Latomme made a precise shot to the right of Werner Smeyers. Gijzelbrechtegem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Werner Smeyers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Latomme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Uijterhoeven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hubert Latomme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Uijterhoeven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Sebastian De Raedemaeker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loui Vanden Driessche in the 54th minute of the match. Diederiek Minnen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Uijterhoeven in the 63rd minute of play forced Gijzelbrechtegem's goalkeeper Werner Smeyers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Langemark's Douglas De Wit got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Marc Van der Vorst shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian De Raedemaeker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Uijterhoeven in the 70th minute of play forced Gijzelbrechtegem's goalkeeper Werner Smeyers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Hubert Latomme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Langemark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Latomme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubert Latomme got free with Werner Smeyers in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loui Vanden Driessche struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Sebastian De Raedemaeker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gijzelbrechtegem. If Loui Vanden Driessche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gijzelbrechtegem's Tibo De Vadder got a free kick in the 89th minute.
