Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jeffrey Lenaerts made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Marcinelle booed when KSV Coolegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jilian Van Eersel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, KSV Coolegem's Dolf Kerkhove got a free kick in the 7th minute. Tomas Omblets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Senne Vranken having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Jeffrey Lenaerts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godfried Van der Vorst was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. KSV Coolegem's Godfried Van der Vorst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudi De Geyter in the 16th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Philipp Goosens in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KSV Coolegem's Jilian Van Eersel. Jilian Van Eersel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Senne Vranken having to interfere. Philipp Goosens kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jeffrey Lenaerts took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godfried Van der Vorst. Godfried Van der Vorst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rudi De Geyter struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Godfried Van der Vorst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcinelle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudi De Geyter in the 32nd minute of play forced KSV Coolegem's goalkeeper Godfried Van der Vorst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes of play, Marcinelle's Mathieu De Roeck made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godfried Van der Vorst was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Marcinelle's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Omblets came free, but Senne Vranken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Marcinelle booed when KSV Coolegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Huijgens didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Omblets stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rudi De Geyter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Godfried Van der Vorst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Luke Bosmans in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KSV Coolegem's Brian Paelemans. Godfried Van der Vorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffrey Lenaerts in the 60th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Jeffrey Lenaerts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Godfried Van der Vorst. The goal made the score 0-4. If Brian Paelemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfried Van der Vorst didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Godfried Van der Vorst made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Rudi De Geyter sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Rudi De Geyter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godfried Van der Vorst was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The Marcinelle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marcinelle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
