Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Douglas Slaghmeulders started the match with the kick off. Ward Ryers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Coenen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Slaghmeulders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ward Ryers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Douglas Slaghmeulders made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. KFC Vorsen's Ward Ryers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of KV Neerpelt booed when KFC Vorsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitri Koppen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes, KV Neerpelt's Peter Langendonckx shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ward Ryers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KV Neerpelt reached it. In the 16th minute, Willy Maeijnaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bryan Davus was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Vorsen's goalkeeper Ward Ryers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Douglas Slaghmeulders's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ward Ryers was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Hannes Coenen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ward Ryers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when KFC Vorsen's Remco Van Maestricht fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Douglas Slaghmeulders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ward Ryers having to interfere. When Hannes Coenen came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the KV Neerpelt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Coenen couldn't finish the play. Hannes Coenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ward Ryers having to interfere. Dimitri Koppen kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half KV Neerpelt were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remco Van Maestricht made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Douglas Slaghmeulders managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Neerpelt's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Slaghmeulders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ward Ryers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remco Van Maestricht struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Vorsen. If Remco Van Maestricht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, KV Neerpelt's Peter-Jan Baboeuf got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute Remco Van Maestricht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronny Van der Vorst might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronny Van der Vorst ran back to his position shaking his head. Remco Van Maestricht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Slaghmeulders in the 94th minute of play forced KFC Vorsen's goalkeeper Ward Ryers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KV Neerpelt's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
