Matthis Rouvroye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Vorster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Brent-Jan Poelmans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpha Youth Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leo Maule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthis Rouvroye having to interfere. Leo Maule could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Matthis Rouvroye made a huge save. Jo Gobelijns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Van den Bergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Matthis Rouvroye successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 17 minutes into the match, Alpha Youth Academy's goalkeeper Matthis Rouvroye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Maule. Leo Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Bart Wery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leo Maule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alpha Youth Academy's Matthis Rouvroye proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Alpha Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. Soup-A-Stars's Jo Gobelijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Van den Bergh in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Bobby Van Den Eynde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Alpha Youth Academy's Bart Wery nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jo Gobelijns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rudy Van den Bergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bart Wery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Soup-A-Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Van den Bergh came free, but Jo Gobelijns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jo Gobelijns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Wery, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Leo Maule scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matthis Rouvroye, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Alpha Youth Academy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rudy Van den Bergh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Maule in the 64th minute of play forced Alpha Youth Academy's goalkeeper Matthis Rouvroye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nick Vorster came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Soup-A-Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Vorster couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute Leo Maule shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthis Rouvroye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthis Rouvroye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Maule in the 70th minute of play. Nick Vorster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kent Knoops hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Vorster in the 74th minute of play forced Alpha Youth Academy's goalkeeper Matthis Rouvroye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthis Rouvroye didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean Rijmenants went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Maule in the 79th minute of play forced Alpha Youth Academy's goalkeeper Matthis Rouvroye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soup-A-Stars's Leo Maule got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Alpha Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Maule came free, but Matthis Rouvroye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soup-A-Stars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jean Rijmenants in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Rudy Van den Bergh fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jo Gobelijns, passed just outside the right post. Soup-A-Stars's Jo Gobelijns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Soup-A-Stars from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes of play, Alpha Youth Academy's Bart Wery made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jo Gobelijns was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bart Wery blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Gobelijns having to make a save.
