Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norbert Van De Wijngaert got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Balthazar Debrouwere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luuk Vansteenbrugge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Fre Leenders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oostduinkerke and the KVSK Herentals players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fre Leenders hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, KVSK Herentals's goalkeeper Steve Poelmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Van Hemel. Luuk Vansteenbrugge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Miguel Steckens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oostduinkerke's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Steckens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Poelmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Oostduinkerke's zone, Gunther Goons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Gilles Hairpoel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Van Hemel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Steve Poelmans skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Norbert Van De Wijngaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luuk Vansteenbrugge having to make a save. Luuk Vansteenbrugge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Balthazar Debrouwere went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Balthazar Debrouwere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norbert Van De Wijngaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luuk Vansteenbrugge having to interfere. Luuk Vansteenbrugge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Van De Wijngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilles Hairpoel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luuk Vansteenbrugge didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 64th minute, Norbert Van De Wijngaert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luuk Vansteenbrugge. The goal made the score 1-3. Gilles Hairpoel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Steve Poelmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Danny Van Hemel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oostduinkerke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Van Hemel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Gilles Hairpoel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Steckens charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Steckens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Oostduinkerke's Miguel Steckens got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Norbert Van De Wijngaert struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Luuk Vansteenbrugge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KVSK Herentals. The supporters of KVSK Herentals booed when Oostduinkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Rockloos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Oostduinkerke's Danny Van Hemel in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KVSK Herentals's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KVSK Herentals eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
