Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) RSC Brakel's Rens Maerschalk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to RSC Brakel getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. After 13 minutes of play, Engelbeek's Hubert Schautens made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tristan Van Cauwenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hannes Verhulst came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Engelbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Verhulst couldn't finish the play. Hannes Verhulst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Engelbeek's Hannes Verhulst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tristan Van Cauwenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Theo Van Hooveldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rens Maerschalk in the 22nd minute of play. If Hannes Verhulst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hubert Schautens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sam Van Beylen kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The corner led Engelbeek's David Langendonck to fire away a dangerous shot which Tristan Van Cauwenberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A hard shot by Matthew Rits from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Theo Van Hooveldt's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hannes Verhulst blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tristan Van Cauwenberg having to make a save. Hubert Schautens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tristan Van Cauwenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The RSC Brakel players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Engelbeek were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hannes Verhulst to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Robben Van Bouschot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Brakel and the Engelbeek players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes RSC Brakel got a freekick which was hit by Robben Van Bouschot. With his leg Tristan Van Cauwenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Engelbeek's Hannes Verhulst fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominik Rix in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theo Van Hooveldt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hubert Schautens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Van Cauwenberg having to interfere. Hubert Schautens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tristan Van Cauwenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robbe Coenen's late challenge caught a Engelbeek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbe Coenen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Robbe Coenen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dominik Rix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute of the match, Hannes Verhulst tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tristan Van Cauwenberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd minute, Yanniek De Mees hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Engelbeek's Hannes Verhulst got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The RSC Brakel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Engelbeek's performance. The match ended with a win for Engelbeek.
