The audience thought a goal was coming when Terry Valckenaerts got free with Benny Gyselincx in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Steven Laureys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Terry Valckenaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Benny Gyselincx made a huge save. In the 15th minute Frederik Goris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olliver Masculier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steven Laureys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benny Gyselincx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, SC Marcinelle's goal looked a bit too open when Frederik Goris came free, but Olliver Masculier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steven Laureys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Gyselincx having to interfere. Terry Valckenaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Benny Gyselincx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Steven Laureys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Gyselincx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jeffrey Vounckx fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Legendary Academy's protests and gave Jeffrey Vounckx a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Jeffrey Vounckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Steven Laureys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Gyselincx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, The Legendary Academy's Benny Gyselincx got control of the ball when Terry Valckenaerts tried to sneak it across the goal line. Terry Valckenaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Terry Valckenaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Legendary Academy's Alek Van den Berghe got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, The Legendary Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Laureys came free, but Benny Gyselincx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Terry Valckenaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benny Gyselincx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Laureys in the 62nd minute of play. In the 71st minute Terry Valckenaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Gyselincx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Jeffrey Vounckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benny Gyselincx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Valckenaerts in the 79th minute of play. Benny Gyselincx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Lefevre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Terry Valckenaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Gyselincx having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Alek Van den Berghe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Olliver Masculier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olliver Masculier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joos Pardaens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Marcinelle's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
