Lyra-Lierse's Cedric Dekeyser shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Maxim-Alexander Goens but with some difficulty. Bastian De Koq struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jonathan Henderickx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Lint. Jonathan Henderickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian De Koq, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bastian De Koq took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Henderickx. Jonathan Henderickx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 17th match minute, K. Lyra-Lierse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roel Claessens to maneuver through the defense. Maxim-Alexander Goens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Steenbecks in the 20th minute of the match. Dieter Bormans scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxim-Alexander Goens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucas Steenbecks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Maxim-Alexander Goens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieter Bormans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. If Gillis Stroobant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. K. Lyra-Lierse's Jonathan Henderickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastian De Koq in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, K. Lyra-Lierse's goal looked a bit too open when Bastian De Koq came free, but Jonathan Henderickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Henderickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Van De Gehuchte, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Steenbecks made a kick off. Maxim-Alexander Goens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieter Bormans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Jerom Nelleboedske hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gillis Stroobant came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the KAA Lint fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gillis Stroobant couldn't finish the play. A collision led to K. Lyra-Lierse getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jerom Nelleboedske hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastian De Koq in the 73rd minute of play forced K. Lyra-Lierse's goalkeeper Jonathan Henderickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gillis Stroobant got free with Jonathan Henderickx in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gillis Stroobant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jonathan Henderickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Steenbecks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to KAA Lint getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Hans Huyterhoeven hit a great ball. When Lucas Steenbecks came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the K. Lyra-Lierse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Steenbecks couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute Dieter Bormans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim-Alexander Goens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Jerom Nelleboedske was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. K. Lyra-Lierse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAA Lint the free kick. Jerom Nelleboedske kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When KAA Lint's Bastian De Koq in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye K.
