Billie Gyselinckx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tom De Greef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kamiel Dirckx hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Senne Van Arschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luukas Ombelets having to interfere. Kristiaan Vounckx struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Luukas Ombelets didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Malegem. In the 29th minute, Octave De Vlaeminck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom De Greef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Billie Gyselinckx made the kick off in the second half. VC Lombardsijde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billie Gyselinckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Senne Van Arschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luukas Ombelets having to interfere. Tom De Greef who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Michiel Vercouteren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luukas Ombelets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristiaan Vounckx in the 70th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Joseph Bekaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Malegem and the VC Lombardsijde players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RSC Malegem's Joseph Bekaert got a free kick in the 76th minute. Joachim Haentjens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michiel Vercouteren. RSC Malegem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
