In the 19thth minute of the game Thomas-Jan Van Eyck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Oostkerke's Daniel Van Schoorisse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dominic Van Haechten's late challenge caught a KSV Zaffelare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benne Verdeyen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SK Oostkerke's Benne Verdeyen got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francois Coeckelberghs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benne Verdeyen in the 64th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Thomas-Jan Van Eyck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathieu-Maxim Van Bever hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Thomas-Jan Van Eyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 77th minute when Thomas-Jan Van Eyck elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of SK Oostkerke booed when KSV Zaffelare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gill Slaghmeulders didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Balthazar Koppen fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Zaffelare's protests and gave Balthazar Koppen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, KSV Zaffelare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balthazar Koppen to maneuver through the defense. If Jim Maerschalckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
