Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kenny Vergau started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Harold Van Meerbeeck fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Lichtelaar's protests and gave Harold Van Meerbeeck a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Club Lichtelaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harold Van Meerbeeck to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Club Lichtelaar's Jules Dauwe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Van Boekost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jules Dauwe in the 13th minute of play forced AFC Tongerlo's goalkeeper Tony Van Boekost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jules Dauwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute, Ief Meys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kenny Vergau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jacky Cortens came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Club Lichtelaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacky Cortens couldn't finish the play. Leon Buyck in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lennart Shamp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jules Dauwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tony Van Boekost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Van Boekost didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Lichtelaar's Jules Dauwe shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After a rather tough play, AFC Tongerlo's Rene Van Dongel got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jacky Cortens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tony Van Boekost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Van Boekost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacky Cortens in the 42nd minute of play. When Club Lichtelaar's Jules Dauwe in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Tongerlo's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacky Cortens to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, AFC Tongerlo's goalkeeper Tony Van Boekost had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jules Dauwe. Ief Meys's late challenge caught a Club Lichtelaar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ief Meys helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Lichtelaar booed when AFC Tongerlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ief Meys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacky Cortens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Van Boekost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Jacky Cortens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ief Meys was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd minute, Ief Meys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jules Dauwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jules Dauwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Van Boekost having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Dirk Winnepenninck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Van Boekost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacky Cortens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jules Dauwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, AFC Tongerlo's goal looked a bit too open when Jacky Cortens came free, but Tony Van Boekost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Van Boekost came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Lichtelaar's Jules Dauwe. But to his dismay, Jules Dauwe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Tony Van Boekost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Dauwe in the 75th minute of play. Jacky Cortens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Van Boekost having to interfere. AFC Tongerlo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Jacky Cortens scored to the left of an out of position Tony Van Boekost, making the score, 0-5. Tony Van Boekost made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jules Dauwe in the 80th minute. Tony Van Boekost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacky Cortens in the 83rd minute of play. When Jules Dauwe came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Club Lichtelaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jules Dauwe couldn't finish the play. A collision led to AFC Tongerlo getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dirk Winnepenninck hit a great ball. Willem-Jan Callaerts, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
