Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jerom Sulem made the kick off which started today's match. Dan De Wever charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan De Wever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, FC Lommelse Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan De Wever to maneuver through the defense. Jochen Armentier did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Sylvain Wouters 13 minutes into the match. Jochen Armentier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Sylvain Wouters skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Jerom Sulem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Obigies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerom Sulem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mickael de Reyck took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herman Lingier. FC Lommelse Azul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Van Eyke in the 30th minute of play forced FC Lommelse Azul's goalkeeper Herman Lingier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Van Eyke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Lingier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerom Sulem, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Sylvain Wouters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Balthazar De Leger went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Jerom Sulem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Lingier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan De Wever hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jochen Armentier was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes KV Obigies got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Van Eyke. Julien Paelinck made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Lommelse Azul's Dan De Wever. 55 minutes into the match, KV Obigies's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Rijmenans came free, but Sylvain Wouters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jochen Armentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerom Sulem in the 60th minute of play forced FC Lommelse Azul's goalkeeper Herman Lingier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herman Lingier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Van Eyke in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Van Eyke got free with Herman Lingier in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Jochen Armentier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Van Eyke in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herman Lingier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herman Lingier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerom Sulem in the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dan De Wever managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lommelse Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan De Wever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylvain Wouters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herman Lingier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerom Sulem in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Douglas Van Eyke got a very nice opportunity to score, but Herman Lingier was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Herman Lingier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerom Sulem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KV Obigies's Sylvain Wouters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochen Armentier in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Lommelse Azul fans cheered their team off the field, for while KV Obigies had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
