If Tommy Valckeneers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 minutes, Ief Van Eynde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KV Wingene and the KV Obigies players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to KV Wingene getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ief Van Eynde hit a great ball. Douglas Van Eyke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Gilian Melkval made a huge save. If Tommy Valckeneers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harald Winnepennincx hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Cederik Jansens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvain Wouters having to interfere. Sylvain Wouters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cederik Jansens, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th match minute, KV Wingene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Leenknecht to maneuver through the defense. Gilian Melkval took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cederik De Prins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Obigies's goalkeeper Sylvain Wouters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Valckeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilian Melkval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerom Sulem, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. KV Obigies were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after KV Wingene's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enzo Luytens took the corner. The corner ended in Enzo Luytens almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KV Wingene's Gilian Melkval did a great save. Gilian Melkval made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Van Eyke in the 43rd minute. Jerom Sulem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Harald Winnepennincx fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Wingene's protests and gave Harald Winnepennincx a yellow card for diving instead. Harald Winnepennincx kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cederik Jansens to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd of the match, Cederik Jansens tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Sylvain Wouters got in the way and made a wonderful save. Wesley Olemans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Sylvain Wouters made a huge save. Tommy Valckeneerss short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Sylvain Wouters to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KV Wingene! The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Valckeneers got free with Sylvain Wouters in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wesley Olemans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Obigies's goalkeeper Sylvain Wouters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sylvain Wouters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cederik Jansens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
