Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elias Pineurs kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Mattheo van Hacht ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Birger Cantillon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Siebe Van Engelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Birger Cantillon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Damme's Mattheo van Hacht nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birger Cantillon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Edgard Vrins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Birger Cantillon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rijmenam's Birger Cantillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Van Engelen in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Edgard Vrins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Cantillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Rijmenam's Kobe Kerstens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Beckers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enzo Beckers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Pineurs, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rijmenam's Richard Knoops got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Damme's Mattheo van Hacht got a free kick in the 30th minute. Jeoffrey Goovaers's late challenge caught a Damme's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Rijmenam's Birger Cantillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Van Engelen in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Rijmenam got a freekick which was hit by Kobe Kerstens. After some careless play in the Rijmenam defense, Edgard Vrins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Birger Cantillon. The Rijmenam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Birger Cantillon should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Mattheo van Hacht made a precise shot to the right of Birger Cantillon. Rijmenam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.
In the 55th minute, Damme's Edgard Vrins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. If Richard Knoops had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Vrins hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Damme's Fransesco Van Turnhout got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Kobe Kerstens fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rijmenam's protests and gave Kobe Kerstens a yellow card for diving instead. 80 minutes into the match, Rijmenam's goal looked a bit too open when Mattheo van Hacht came free, but Birger Cantillon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Damme booed when Rijmenam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Knoops didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Siebe Van Engelen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Damme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siebe Van Engelen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Birger Cantillon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattheo van Hacht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mattheo van Hacht fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Damme's protests and gave Mattheo van Hacht a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Damme got a freekick which was hit by Mattheo van Hacht. Birger Cantillon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Siebe Van Engelen in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Damme had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
