If Klaus De Messemaecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klaus De Messemaecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Neerpelt's Klaus De Messemaecker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diederik Verdun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diederik Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus De Messemaecker in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Neerpelt booed when Belgium Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Leempoels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertan Verstappen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Kent Goris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertan Verstappen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Kent Goris made a huge save. Kent Goris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Meersman in the 34th minute of the match. If Jacq Frederickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Belgium Red Devils getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Kristof de Neuyter hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaus De Messemaecker got free with Diederik Verdun in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertan Verstappen in the 71st minute of play forced Neerpelt's goalkeeper Kent Goris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Goris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Meersman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Neerpelt's zone, Bertan Verstappen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kent Goris came out of the goal and Bertan Verstappen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacq Frederickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Diederik Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Klaus De Messemaecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diederik Verdun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neerpelt. After some careless play in the Belgium Red Devils defense, Klaus De Messemaecker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diederik Verdun. The Belgium Red Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diederik Verdun should have stopped the shot. Neerpelt played a much better game than Belgium Red Devils and deserved their victory. The Belgium Red Devils players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
