Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Freek Van den Brul took the kick off in the first half of the match. Regis Van Beersel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinard Van Beetz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Neirynck went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 13 minutes into the match, Regis Van Beersel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierre Docx. KSC Grimbergen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Regis Van Beersel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octave Coomans in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pierre Docx saved KSC Grimbergen from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, Kevin Vrankx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KSC Grimbergen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zachtheide the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Kevin Vrankx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freek Van den Brul in the 28th minute of play forced Zachtheide's goalkeeper Reinard Van Beetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freek Van den Brul struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Reinard Van Beetz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSC Grimbergen. If Regis Van Beersel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Octave Coomans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octave Coomans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Wesley Klinkenberg fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSC Grimbergen's protests and gave Wesley Klinkenberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zachtheide booed when KSC Grimbergen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Klinkenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Regis Van Beersel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Docx having to interfere. Zachtheide's Octave Coomans got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Regis Van Beersel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierre Docx having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Octave Coomans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierre Docx was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, KSC Grimbergen's Wesley Klinkenberg got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Regis Van Beersel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Docx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octave Coomans took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre Docx. Pierre Docx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Regis Van Beersel in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pierre Docx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to KSC Grimbergen getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Arno Acke hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the game, Edwin Renotte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zachtheide's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSC Grimbergen the free kick. Edwin Renotte kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Pierre Docx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regis Van Beersel, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Pierre Docx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Regis Van Beersel in the 90th minute of the match. Regis Van Beersel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierre Docx having to make a save.
