Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robby Jans started the match with the kick off. Laurenz Van den Sande's late challenge caught a VC Strijpen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurenz Van den Sande helped the player get up and apologised. Laurenz Van den Sande hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Robby Jans managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Strijpen's supporters rose to their feet, but Robby Jans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorie De Cat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Robby Jans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregorie De Cat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 12thth minute of the game Robby Jans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KVSK Tijskenshoek's Gregorie De Cat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kobe Debruyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dany Reijers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kobe Debruyn ran back to his position shaking his head. Claus Susters hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Robby Jans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorie De Cat having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Jerom Gijselinghs made a precise shot to the right of Gregorie De Cat. KVSK Tijskenshoek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Jerom Gijselinghs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorie De Cat having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustaaf Van Hinnendaels stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dany Reijers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kobe Debruyn in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kobe Debruyn in the 69th minute of play forced VC Strijpen's goalkeeper Dany Reijers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robby Jans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Gregorie De Cat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorie De Cat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robby Jans in the 73rd minute of the match. Jerom Gijselinghs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gregorie De Cat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Van Hinnendaels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dany Reijers having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, VC Strijpen's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Van Hinnendaels came free, but Dany Reijers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robby Jans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VC Strijpen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
