Roland Van Dessel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Landewijck in the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Landewijck in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roland Van Dessel saved FC Popollekes from getting behind. After having played for 17 minutes, Wout Preuveneer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Popollekes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wout Preuveneer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roland Van Dessel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilian Kest in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wout Preuveneer in the 30th minute of play forced Lotenhulle's goalkeeper Ignace Marchal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Popollekes's Maarten Voorhof slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ignace Marchal. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. In the 42nd minute, Harrie Vercalsteren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Wout Preuveneer took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ignace Marchal to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Lotenhulle's zone, Wout Preuveneer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignace Marchal came out of the goal and Wout Preuveneer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Landewijck made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Popollekes's Maarten Voorhof got a free kick in the 54th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lotenhulle fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! In the 59th minute there was a penalty for FC Popollekes. Arnaud Decoster stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ignace Marchal. 3-0. In the 62nd match minute, Lotenhulle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel-Jan Holemans to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Valckenaerts in the 63rd minute of play forced Lotenhulle's goalkeeper Ignace Marchal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Wout Preuveneer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Popollekes and the Lotenhulle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wout Preuveneer kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gilian Kest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Van Dessel having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Wout Preuveneer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karel-Jan Holemans kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. FC Popollekes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
