SK Lowingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niel Van Laeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4thth minute of the game Niel Van Laeck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lotenhulle's Ignace Marchal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis De Peuter in the 5th minute of play forced Lotenhulle's goalkeeper Ignace Marchal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niel Van Laeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Van den Berge notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lotenhulle's Ignace Marchal. Ignace Marchal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Niel Van Laeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Ignace Marchal made a huge save. Ignace Marchal made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Harald Van Dongel sent off a good shot on target. Abraham Loremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harald Van Dongel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ignace Marchal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Loremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignace Marchal having to interfere. Ignace Marchal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Loremans, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Van Dongel couldn't finish the play. If Abraham Loremans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SK Lowingen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
